anyways back to this -
Here's the story Alexi, but I made this 3 months ago. I've edited it a s--- ton more lol. Also I'm not doing the indenty stuff because I'm too tired for that lol
Most stories don't start off with the main character in jail. But, unlucky for me, Jinx, that's how mine does.
Kids, don't make me your role model.
Anyway, I was sitting in my cell, staring at the wall, because, y'know, boredom, when the bricks started moving. I'd heard freak stories about how jail makes you go insane, but I figured I was already insane, so that didn't apply to me, but clearly, I couldn't have been more wrong.
I closed my eyes to try and relax myself and assure I wasn't going insane, when something hit me on the head! Not too hard, mind you, but hard enough that I was pretty upset. I opened my eyes, about to snap at whoever chucked it at me, when I realized 3 things.
1. I am going insane.
2. There was a wall before I closed my eyes. There isn't anymore.
3. There is a boy staring at me through the wall and pile of bricks, holding a staff like his life depended on it, eyes wide.
"You're not Darcy." He said, his voice sounding higher than it was probably supposed to.
"No I am not." I nodded. "I'm Jinx. Who are you, new rescuer?"
He didn't answer. "Do you know where Darcy is?" He asked. The name didn't ring a bell, so I shook my head.
"Nope, not at all. Besides, we've only got like, 10 seconds before the guards stop chatting and realize you've broken me out."
The boy suddenly remembered that the guards existed, and sprinted away. I followed him since I didn't have anything better to do, and maybe I could bug him more. We both ran into this large forest before he realized I was following him.
"What are you doing?!" He hissed. I shrugged.
"Following you! I owe you since you got me out of jail!"
"No! The last thing I need is you following me!" We stopped running since the guards hadn't been following us for a bit, and it'd be very difficult for them to find us in the thick forest.
"Well too bad, because if there's anyone that can help you break into jail is a former jailer himself." I pointed out. The boy glared at me.
"Or you could get us caught and thrown in jail and mess my whole plan up!" He hissed.
"What, you got a better idea besides 'break into jail again and hope I manage to get Darcy out?'" I shot back. He sighed, looking at me like he was trying to gauge how much help I'd be. He let out a sharp exhale.
"Fine. I'm definitely going to regret it, but you can help me. On 1 condition." I nodded. "You don't question my plan. At ALL."
"Fine, fine, I won't." I sighed. It was quiet in the forest for a bit- well, as quiet as it could be, there were still birds chirping and a river somewhere.
"Robin." The boy said, looking at one of the trees.
"What?" There were plenty of birds, sure, but I didn't see a robin anywhere.
"You asked for my name back there. It's Robin."
I didn't argue that I asked for his name like, 20 minutes ago. "Oh. Nice to meet you, Robin. I'm Jinx."
Robin nodded, twirling his staff around. "Alright, lets go."
"What?" I asked, confused. He didn't answer- it seems like that was just something he did though, so I didn't take offense to it. He started walking to where the sound of the river was, and I followed. Once he stopped we were at the river, by a tent.
"Welcome to the campsite, Jinx." -
