Amelia laughed. ‘Yeah, that’s fair. Worst-worst case scenario we get food poisoning.’

"my favorite" Eden laughed again.

Amelia grinned. ‘Yes, how amazing,’ she laughed. They got to the front of the line and she ordered for them. They got a receipt and stood off to the side, waiting for their number to be called.

"now this" they joked "is the best part." they looked over the counter. "a ridiculously long wait time. its not that bad, for what we're getting. and they do have a lot of customers."

‘Oh, joy,’ Amelia laughed, leaning against the wall. ‘That’s so fun. What can we do to pass the time?’

"Pray we don't get food poisoning?" Eden smiled. "i'm kidding, im kidding! m not sure."

Amelia giggled. ‘Sounds like a good idea to me,’ she joked. ‘Do you have any siblings?’

“No, I’m an only child.” Eden returned the question, “what about you?”

‘A brother, but he’s moved out,’ Amelia said.

"oh, nice. I'm assuming." Eden fiddled with her hands.

Amelia shrugged. ‘Yeah, he was annoying,’ she said jokingly, looking around.

"so I hear siblings are." Eden joked.

‘Oh, yeah, very. You’re lucky,’ Amelia joked.

"i dunno, I'm pretty lonely most times" they said.

Amelia shrugged. The woman at the counter called their number. She glanced at Eden.
