Eden didn't know why they apologized, they struggled to get any word to come out.

Amelia watched her for a moment, a little confused.

as Eden grew more nervous, she finally said, "I.... uh.... do you want to.. get.. like.. lunch or something tomorrow?"

‘Yeah, sure,’ Amelia said, leaning back on her hands.

"you have a nice room" Eden randomly said, she looked around at the well-lit long term hospital room. she then thought of all the people she saw pass through here. she decided not to mention that part.

‘Thanks, I guess,’ Amelia said. ‘They give the nice ones to the people staying a while.’

Eden nodded. "so I've noticed, I'm mostly here, so a lot of people know me."

‘Cool,’ Amelia said, kicking her feet from the edge of the hospital bed.

"I guess." Eden bit her nail

‘Yeah,’ Amelia said, looking around.

"what hospital were you at before this?"

‘The community one on the other side of the city. Westbrook, I think,’ Amelia said. ‘They referred us here for chemo.’

"huh, I think I knew another cancer patient who went there."
Eden remembered the old man. "its a nice part of town."
(its totally fine lol)
