‘Yeah, it’s okay,’ Amelia shrugged. She looked out the window.

"yeah" Eden inhaled the clean hospital scent, then let a long exhale out.

Amelia sighed. She looked back at Eden. 'I like your hair,' she offered.

"oh, thanks." Eden didn't know how to handle compliments. "I like your hair, too."

Amelia gave a weak smile and lay down on her side, legs dangling off the side of the bed.

Eden sighed yet again. she was embarrassed out how much she did that, it was kind of awkward.

Amelia sat up again. One of the nurses walked in. ‘I’ll see you tomorrow, then?’ Amelia said.

"yeah, see ya." Eden left embarrassed, walking into her mothers room.
"how'd it go?" her mother said, a look of genuine curiosity danced across her eyes, she was very genuine and took interest in Edens life.
"it went fine. it was a little awkward. we're having lunch tomorrow though." they sighed, then they looked out the window. -
‘Where’s your mother?’ the nurse asked.
‘She went to get some food,’ Amelia said, looking down.
‘Right, well, we’ll get you settled in when she comes back.’ -
(time skip? or nah?)
Eden sunk back into her chair, continuing to sketch away. -
(Sure, ts sounds good)
Amelia was sitting in her hospital bed, staring at her phone. Her surgery would be the next day, so today she could have lunch with Eden -
(new acc- for some strange reason)
Eden fell asleep in their chair and by the time they woke up, they realized it was near almost lunch time. they let out a heavy anxious sigh and fessed with their hair, then got up and left the room. -
Amelia walked down to the food court, bumping into Eden on the way. ‘Hey,’ she said, stepping back a little.

"oh, hey" Eden tried to hide her anxiety. "how are you?"

‘I’m fine. You?’ Amelia asked, continuing down the hallway next to her.
