Albert tilted his head at Sebastian. He’d be scowling if he had a functional face. He clanked out of the room. ‘If you try anything funny, I’ll make sure Vincent finds out,’ he snapped, then clanked away, slamming the door on his way o it.
-
He'll find out, all right. Sebastian immediately started making sure his stuff wasn't tampered with.
-
Albert walked down to his charging room after checking Vincent didn’t need anything. Vincent was back in the main room, working on one of his latest inventions.
-
Sebastian grabbed his notebook and pencil after he made sure everything was alright, and then walked to where Vincent was. "What's that?" He asked, trying to sound curious and interested.
-
‘Oh, it’s one of my newest inventions!’ Vincent said, climbing down from the ladder. ‘I’m almost certain it’ll be my big break! Almost. Once I can get it right, that is.’
-
Sebastian immediately perked up, growing truly interested. Just not in the way Vincent probably hoped.
-
Vincent’s face lit up like a light bulb when Sebastian looked so interested. ‘It isn’t finished, though. It’ll take weeks of work before it is, of course, but it’ll all be worth it!’ He climbed back up the ladder. ‘Pass me those pliers, will you?’
-
Sebastian tossed him the pliers. "What's it supposed to do?"
-
‘It can do whatever you like! Well, that’s subjective, but you know what I mean. It’s very versatile.’
-
Sebastian raised an eyebrow. If they made an invention that could do 'anything', he'd get fired for being too vague. "Interesting."
-
‘Very! I can’t get a calibrations right, though. It would have to be very specific,’ Vincent said, mainly to himself, as he opened a panel and took a USB-type device from his pocket. ‘I swear, if I have to do more programming, I might throw this thing off the roof-‘
-
Sebastian chuckled. "Do you mind if I watch you work?"
-
‘Not at all, go ahead!’ Vincent said with a bright smile, before returning to his work. His brows furrowed in concentration as attached the wires. He groaned and jumped down from the ladder, sitting in a wheely chair and rolling across the room to a desk with a large screen and keyboard.
-
Sebastian did a quick sketch of the gadget before naming it The Everything Machine (apparently)
-
Vincent had named the machine Barbara. He pulled the smaller device into his computer and typed away, looking for mistakes.
