Vincent chuckled. ‘Of course not! He was very hasty about it too. He barely even tried,’ he said, spooning some mac and cheese into his mouth. ‘Called me crazy a couple times and was gone within three days.’

Sebastian made a note to stay longer than 3 days. It was already the plan, but better safe than sorry. "Odd."

‘Very. I’m not crazy at all! I’m very normal!’ Vincent laughed, brushing the now dried up cheese off his shirt. He remembered something Albert had said to him when the apprentice had left. “I’m just glad you didn’t get attached to him.”

Sebastian ate his food, staying quiet at that comment since he didn't want to outright lie to Vincent.

Vincent continued eating as well. He finished after a bit and stood up.

Sebastian finished as well. "Would you like me to start working right away?"

‘Nah, you can relax this evening. We’ll get started tomorrow,’ Vincent said, smiling as he walked towards the door. ‘Feel free to take a look around. Just don’t go in the basement. Or the attic. Or my office. My office is labelled “office”, so you’ll know it when you find it. And don’t move anything.’

"Why can't I go in the basement? Or the attic?"

‘Because I said so,’ Vincent decided. ‘I may show you in time, but not now.’

"Huh. Alright."

Vincent nodded and opened the door for Sebastian.

Sebastian smiled. "Thank you." He followed.

Vincent smiled and walked back out to the front room. ‘You’re free to do whatever you want after dinners. Except the things I said before.’

"Could you give me a tour, maybe?"

‘Of course! Follow me,’ Vincent said happily, walking up the stairs.
