C1 is our Loopy Gay Steampunk™. He lives on the outskirts of town, in his big house, in an 1800s city. Our city is beyond its years, with common Victorian practises and clothing, but the machinery and inventions being very advanced. C1 is one of the best inventors in the country, and many has reached out to be an apprentice, but C1 works alone. That is, until one day he gets too lonely to bear, and sends out an ad in the local newspaper looking for an apprentice.
C2 words for a Big Bad Company™. His big bad boss has decided this is the best opportunity to steal one of C1’s inventions. C2 has to earn C1’s trust, find the blueprints of his newest invention, which C1 insists will be his greatest of all, and give them to his big bad boss. What happens when C2 grows fond of C1, and C1 gets way too attached? -
Boo I'm here
Would you rather be c1 or c2? -
Ah you scared me
Could I be C1? -

Of course! Do you want to make the character sheet or should I? -
I’ll make it :)

Also I might add that C2 is supposed to be uptight and like cautious compared to C1, but whatever you want lol -
Got it lol
Name: Sebastian (Baz or Bastien as nicknames) Arion
Age: 27
Gender: Demiboy. He/they
Appearance: Rusty brownish hair cut short on the sides and sticking up. When it's messy-which is often- he usually covers it with a hat or a bandana if they're working. Redhead style freckles all over, and green eyes. Is self conscious of his slightly crooked teeth so doesn't smile often. Loves wearing vests and things with lots of belts, chains, and straps.
Personality: Tries to listen more than they talk, especially when it comes to work related things. Tends to make sure things he does are absolutely perfect, which leads to not a lot getting finished because he gets frustrated that it's not perfect enough and gives up. Standoffish a lot of the time. Very smart in terms of common sense and intelligence, but very emotionally stupid
Other: Possibly has autism or ODD but has never been tested because he claims he doesn't have time to. -
Name: Vincent “Vinnie” Maxwell
Age (prolly like 26-30): 28
Gender: Male, he/him
Appearance: Dark hair, between black and brown. He doesn’t take care of his hair so it’s often dirty with soot and grease from his machines. Pale asf for spending most of his time inside. Tall and skinny. Most often wears fingerless gloves, vertically striped pants, boots, long jacket, tie and vest, and sometimes one of those steampunky top hats when he’s with other people
Personality: Loopy. He has an emotional attachment to every one of his machines, especially his robot servant/bestie, Albert, and refuses to give up on any of them, and gives names to every one of them. He never throws them out. He’ll also remember tiny details but tell him something very clearly and he’s forgetting it. He can’t catch on to something like flirting or jokes from all his time not socialising. But he’s very loyal and kind in his own way.
Other: Severe social anxiety, dead parents, probably autistic, tragic backstory, etc etc -
Coooool
Do you want to start or should I? -
I’ll start lol
Vincent was on top of a ladder, wearing his goggles, welding together the metal of one of his newest machines. It was large, and mostly covered in blankets. His house was very large, but on most surfaces were old inventions, prototypes and blueprints, hazardously littered around. Most of the rooms in the house were dedicated to storing old machines.
Albert was at the bottom of the ladder, holding it. ‘You’re going to fall, master! Three ladders stacked on top of each other isn’t safe!’
‘Relax, Albert, I know what I’m doing,’ Vincent said, waving the welder around, nearly singeing his hair. -
Sebastian walked up to the doorstep of the building the newspaper article mentioned. He knocked on the door before picking at the sleeves of his blazer.
-
The knock echoed through the house from Vincent’s noise amplifier. ‘Who could that be?’
‘You sent out an apprentice ad last week, master.’
‘Oh, yes, I did! Perhaps that could be them!’
‘Or the police getting noise complaints,’ Albert grumbled, machinery clanking as he helped Vincent down from the ladder.
‘Lighten up, Albert!’ Vincent called as he hurried off to the door. There was a lot of clashing and clanking before Vincent opened the door, and was only somewhat surprised this time to find a human. ‘Why, hello there!’ -
Sebastian raised his eyebrows at all the crashing they heard. "Hello." He looked up. "I'm here for the apprentice ad. Is it still available?"
-
‘Apprentice ad,’ Vincent repeated, visibly confused, before noticing the newspaper in his hands. ‘Ah, yes, the apprentice ad! Yes, yes, it’s still available, come in!’ He stepped to the side to let Sebastian through.
-
Sebastian gave a small, fake smile before walking in. "So is there an interview or..."
-
‘Nope, nope! You look the part,’ Vincent said, patting his head. He strode into main room, where he’d been before. Albert was cleaning up a soot mess on the floor. ‘Albert, this is- Er, what was your name again?’
