“Yeah, it’s still not one-hundred percent, and it most likely never will be, but it’s great,” Evan said with a smile.
-
“Does that mean you’ll have to get glasses?” Connor asked, chuckling softly. “Aye, join the glasses gang with me, Evan- Well, I mean, I don’t wear mine daily, but still-“
-
“You have glasses?? What the-“ Evan chuckled quietly. “Can- are you busy? I’d like to see what you look like-“
-
“Yeah, I don‘t wear them often, though,” Connor said, chuckling softly. “Ooh, you wanna FaceTime? I’m just in the middle of drawing something if you want to-“
-
“Oh! Yeah, okay,” Evan said with a small smile, moving to his desk so he could prop his phone up. “Could you do it? I’m stupid when it comes to electronics-“
-
“Yeah, I gotcha- Be right back~” Connor said with a chuckle, ending the call. He quickly called Evan again, this time from FaceTime.
-
Evan smiled, picking up and getting closer to the phone. He squinted, trying to see Connor. “Connor- where are you-“
-
“Wait, lemme get situated,” Connor said, chuckling softly as he propped his phone up on his desk. He turned on his camera, making sure his face was in view. “Hii~”
-
Evan gasped, moving the phone close to his face and squinting at it, forgetting that his camera was on. “Holy s---, I didnt think you looked that that,” he said, laughing softly.
-
“What, you callin’ me ugly?!” Connor exclaimed with a dramatic gasp, a feigned look of offense on his face. “How dare you, Evan~”
-
“No! No, kinda the opposite, actually,” Evan said with a. chuckle. “And it’s just, weird- actually seeing you.”
-
Connor blushed a little, chuckling softly. “Yeah, I’m- I’m sure it is,” he said with a chuckle, suddenly becoming very self-conscious about how he was sitting and what he was doing with his hands. He grabbed his pencil, going back to his drawing. “Are you glad to have your sight back?”
-
“Yeah, I mean, it’s nice, but it’s very overwhelming,” Evan said softly, setting his phone down but continuing to watch Connor closely. “And it’s so weird hearing your voice and connecting it to your face- because I had my own mental image of your face.”
-
“What did you think I looked like- The one guy from that one movie you tried to compare me to~?” Connor teased, chuckling softly.
-
“Who did I compare you to?” Evan asked, slightly confused.
