“It’s kinda cute,” Evan said with a smile, studying Connor again. “God- I’m getting a crush on you all over again-“

Connor laughed softly, smiling at Evan for a moment before looking down at his artwork again.

Evan chuckled quietly. leaning back in his seat and rubbing his face. “Hey, do you wanna come over when you like… I dunno, get out of the groove?”

“Uh, maybe- I-I have a lot of homework I need to catch up on and stuff, so-“ Connor spoke a little too quickly, keeping his head low as he drew.

“Oh, right, you’re back in school,” Evan said, frowning. “Um- maybe tommorow?”

“S-Sure, yeah-“ Connor lied, exhaling softly as he snuck a glance at Evan.

Evan went silent for a moment, watching Connor. “Are you good? What’s going on- you wouldn’t leave me alone, and now you’re avoiding me like me getting my sight back is the plague.”

“I haven’t been avoiding you-“ Connor spoke quickly, a nervous look crossing his face for a second. “I-I’m just busy, is all.”

Evan gave Connor a look, narrowing his eyes. “You’re being so weird right now-“

“How am I being weird?” Connor asked, keeping his gaze down at his art as he drew.

“You’re not looking at me, you’re making excuses really fast, you’re answering too quickly and you just look and sound really nervous,” Evan said, crossing his arms.

“Well, I mean, I am in the middle of drawing,” Connor said, glancing up for a moment. “Sorry, I- I’m not trying to act suspicious-“

Evan paused, sighing quietly. “Alright, if you say so-“

Connor exhaled softly, nodding as he looked back down. He flipped pages and hummed softly, glancing up at Evan and studying his face for a moment before beginning to draw his face.

“So, uh, how’s the goats at school been?” Evan said softly, tilting his head.
