“I guess that’s fair,” Connor replied quietly, nodding.
-
“But I do like you, I promise,” Evan said with a shrug, nodding.
-
Connor blushed and smiled, leaning into Evan’s side.
-
Evan smiled a little, trying to hide it as he pet the cat in front of him
-
Connor hummed softly, watching the cat for a moment as he zoned out.

Evan sat on his bed, his new phone in hand as he studied it. He hadn’t seen it in months, and having his sight back altogether was mind-boggling to him. It was still slightly blurry, but he could pick things out quite easily. He called Connor from his phone, having gotten his number from his dad. -
Connor sat as his desk drawing, singing quietly to the music from one of his new records when he felt his phone buzz in his pocket. He didn’t recognize the number but picked up, turning his music down a little. “Hello?” He replied, going back to drawing.
-
“Hey, Connor? It’s Evan,” Evan said with a growing smile, continuing to look around his room.
-
“Evan? Hey, how’re you?” Connor asked, smiling as he paused his drawing.
-
“I’m good, I’m really good, actually,” Evan said with a smile. “Just looking around my room right now-“
-
“Nice, nice-“ Connor paused, furrowing his brows. “Wait, what did you- WAIT, HOLY s---, you- your sight’s back?! Oh my God, Ev, that’s amazing!” He said with a bright smile, chuckling softly
