“Aww, stop,” Evan said with a small smile. “Even when I was cussing you out? Is that why you kept coming back?”

“Mm, maybe~” Connor said, chuckling softly. “Plus, I- I really do care about you and what you’re going through.”

Evan paused, sighing. “It’s still so hard to believe you.”

Connor exhaled softly, nodding. “No, that’s- that’s fair, I get that,” he said softly, crossing his arms over his chest.

“So- are we just in like, a talking stage, now?” Evan said after a moment of silence.

“I guess?” Connor said with a small smile, looking back over at Evan.

“Ugh, that’s so cringy,” Evan said with a chuckle, turning his head to face Connor.

“You’re the one who suggested it~” Connor teased, nudging Evan’s leg with his foot again.

“Well- I’ve never done this before! I don’t know-“ Evan said, laughing softly.

“Right, yeah, you’re a dating virgin~” Connor teased, chuckling softly. “Don’t worry, it- it gets less awkward and weird as time goes on.”

Evan flushed bright red, covering his face. “What the f---- don’t say that!”

Connor laughed, watching Evan with a smile. “What, I mean, you haven’t dated anyone, so-“

“But that’s f---in’ weird-“ Evan said, scrunching his nose a little.

“Fine, fine, I won’t say it like that,” Connor said with a chuckle, nudging Evan’s leg again.

“Thank you,” Evan said with a soft chuckle, slumping in his chair and resting his head back.
