"I don't want what we have to change," Connor whispered, tears filling his eyes again. "I-I mean, I'm not normal. I'm weird, I'm different, I'm a f---ing freak- You'll ghost me like everyone else does, or treat me like I'm something broken that needs to be fixed..."

“b----, I’m f---in’ blind, why would I judge you?” Evan said quietly, furrowing his brows.

"Well, you're not gonna be blind for long, right?" Connor spoke, anger seeping into his voice. "You'll know- you'll know, and you'll be disgusted by me, just like I am with myself-"

Evan frowned, turning his head to Connor.”I mean- I already thought you were disgusting, but I don’t think so anymore. It changed, why would it change back?”

"I- I'm sorry, I just can't-" Connor spoke shakily, rubbing his eyes furiously with his other hand.

“Jeez- you’re good, okay?” Evan said softly, sighing.

"Okay," Connor murmured softly, exhaling shakily.

“Just- just calm down,” Evan said softly, squeezing Connor’s hand.

Connor nodded, blushing a little. "Sorry," he said, chuckling awkwardly.

“Don’t be sorry- I’m the one being an a--hole,” Evan said, shrugging.

"You're not an a--hole," Connor spoke, rubbing the back of Evan's hand with his thumb for a moment, "at least, I don't think you are. I mean, I'd want to know what I'm hiding if I were you-"

“Can I ask, though-“ Evan said, turning his head. “Would I know what it is when I get my sight back?”

"I mean, yeah, you'll probably figure it out sooner or later-" Connor spoke, exhaling shakily.

Evan nodded, tripping on a rock but quickly regaining his composure. “Alright-“

Connor exhaled softly, rubbing the side of his face with his free hand. "I'm sorry for taking you to the cafe- I just thought it would be fun, I'm sorry-"
