“What do you think I’m here for, then?” Connor asked, chuckling softly. -
“I dunno, to look like a good person,” George shrugged. “My dad would probably sign off for your service hours.”

“Oh, I’ve already done all that,” Connor said, leaning against Evan’s desk.

Evan scoffed glancing away. “Figures. Give me the chocolate-“

Connor chuckled softly and handed Evan the chocolate, watching him for a moment. “Can- Can I ask you something?”

“I feel like you’re gonna ask me either way,” Evan said, eating the chocolate.

“Well- You don’t have to tell me if you’re not comfortable, but- How’d you lose your sight?” Connor asked gently, his voice quiet.

“I got in an accident,” Evan said softly, shrugging as he had more candy.

“Like, a car accident or something?”

“No, I pissed my pants,” George said sarcastically, scoffing.

“Har har, very funny,” Connor said with an eye roll, chuckling. “I mean, you could’ve lost your sight from something else, I was just asking-“

“Good for you?” George said, eating more candy.

“Soo, what uh, what do you like to do for fun?”

“I mean, not much anymore besides listen to the radio,” George shrugged, holding his hand out for more chocolate. “But I used to like writing poetry. And riding my bike. And reading.”

“And you don’t like those things now?” Connor asked, crossing his arms over his chest.
