They sat in silence for a few minutes, besides the radio, before Evan slammed his fist on the arm of his chair. “Okay, your breathing is f---ing ruining the music-“

“Uh- Damn, okay-“ Connor said, chuckling awkwardly. “I wasn’t trying to be loud-“

“Well, shocker! You f---ing were. So stop being so obnoxious,” He said, crossing his arms.

“Well, if you’re gonna give me an attitude, I’m taking back the chocolate-“ Clay said, grabbing the bag of Reese’s.

Evan whipped his head over, frowning. “What are you?? My f---ing mom??”

“Jesus, chill-“ Connor spoke as he took a step away Evan, furrowing his brows a little.

“I’m just- y’know, I’m so f---ing sick of people taking s--- from me and expecting me not to do anything about it,” Evan said angrily, moving to stand. “So get the f--- out- I don’t need you, and I don’t want you here so f---ing leave.”

Connor flinched, those word hitting hard. “No, I get that, honestly I do- But I seriously just want to help you out. You can have the candy back, I don’t even like chocolate-“

“I don’t give a s--- about the chocolate, you stupid idiot! Also, for as many times you’re saying you wanna help, but you’re kinda s--- at it, so leave,” Evan spat, pointing to where he assumed the door was.

“Fine. I’m sooo sorry for trying to sympathize with someone for once in my f---ing life and not be a heartless monster!” Connor shouted back in anger, his hands clenching into fists. He dropped the bag of candy back onto the table and turned, walking off.

“Good for you, you b----!” Evan yelled, moving back to find his chair.

“f--- you, too!” Connor shouted as he slammed the door behind him, exhaling shakily.

Evan’s dad came out of his bedroom down the hall, frowning. “It didn’t go well, I’m assuming?”
