Evan dads opened the door, smiling brightly. “Good morning- Evan’s up in his room.”

“Morning,” Connor said with a smile, entering the house and heading up to Evan’s room. He gently knocked on the door, waiting for a reply.

“I’m asleep,” Evan mumbled, turning on his side away from the door.

“Well, wake your ass up, sleepyhead,” Connor said, letting himself into Evan’s room.

“Why the f--- are you back,” Evan said in a monotone voice, not moving from his spot.

“Because I’m stubborn,” Connor said with a chuckle, moving to the desk and sitting down at it.

“f--- you,” Evan mumbled, bringing his blanket over his head.

“So, are you just gonna ‘sleep’ all day?” Connor asked, chuckling softly as he looked over at Evan.

“There’s nothing else to do,” Evan mumbled. “And if I’m not trying to sleep I’m going to have to deal with you and you’re a b----.”

“And you’re an a--hole, but I’m still here because I want to be,” Connor said, crossing one leg over the other. “Are you sure you don’t even want to get out of bed? Go take a shower, watch TV, make food? Do literally anything other than rot in your room?”

“Well, watching TV is actually kinda difficult now, believe it or not,” Evan mumbled quietly, sitting up a little. “Quite literally everything is hard to do, matter of fact- I mean, you wouldn’t f---ing know, but-“

“Right, sorry-“ Connor spoke, his face heating up a little with embarrassment. “But hey, that’s what I’m here for. I can do things for you that you want to do and stuff-“

“That would kinda defeat the purpose then, wouldn’t it? Because you’re doing it and not me?” Evan said, running a hand through his hair. “And then I just continue to rot in bed. Y’know?”

“We could go outside, get some fresh air,” Connor suggested, crossing his arms over his chest.

“I mean- I’m gonna say no and you’re gonna drag me out there anyways,” Evan groaned, throwing his bed covers back.
