“I have a feeling we’re gonna walk for that long and then you’re gonna make me do something else because we’re already out here!” He said mockingly.

Connor inhaled sharply, trying not to lash out as he rolled his eyes. “I promise, all we’ll do is go for a walk,” he spoke, watching Evan.

“If you try and pull something I will cuss you out,” Evan muttered angrily, turning and starting carefully down the stairs.

“When are you not cussing me out?” Connor asked with a chuckle, following Evan down the steps.

“f--- off,” Evan said, almost tripping at the bottom of the stairs because he thought there were more.

Connor reached out and grabbed Evan gently but firmly, making sure he didn’t face-plant the ground. “Are you okay?” He asked softly, making sure he was steady before letting go of him.

“I’m f---ing fine- don’t touch me,” Evan said angrily, aggressively tearing himself away from Connor.

Connor exhaled softly, pulling his hands to his side. “Sorry-“

“Oh my God,” Evan muttered, starting to walk away. He soon after actually tripped on some of the bricks lining the stone pathway, falling onto the grass and rolling onto his back. “f---.”

“s---, are you okay?” Connor asked, quickly moving over to Evan.

“Better than f---ing ever,” Evan mumbled, rubbing the top of his head.

“You need help?” Connor asked gently, crouching down a little.

“f--- no,” Evan said, crossing one leg over the other. “I’m getting my vitamin D.”

Connor chuckled softly and sat down on the ground beside Evan, watching him for a moment. “You comfortable?” He asked, watcjing him with a small smile.

“I guess,” Evan mumbled, shifting his shoulders slightly.
