Connor nodded, watching Evan for a moment before awkwardly looking down at his hands.
-
“Uh- sorry about earlier. I feel fine now,” Evan said softly, running a hand through his wet hair.
-
"You're okay- I was just a little worried, is all," Connor said, chuckling softly. "Guess I get that from my mom, worrying about people's health-"
-
“Is your mom a doctor or something?” Evan asked quietly, furrowing his brows and moving to sit on the edge of his bed.
-
"Yeah, she is, I thought I mentioned it before-" Connor said, crossing his arms. "Maybe I didn't and I just thought I did-"
-
Evan shrugged, sitting down on his bed. “I also have the memory of a goldfish, so-“
-
"Pfft- Real, honestly," Connor said, chuckling.
-
Evan nodded, chuckling quietly. “It’s bad-“
-
"Literally- Probably why I'm failing most of my classes," Connor said, chuckling softly.
-
“Why are you failing?” Evan said, frowning a little. “Wait- are you in school right now? Or supposed to be?”
-
"Uhhhh-" Connor paused, his face heating up with embarrassment. f---, what do I tell him, that I got suspended because I'm a s--- f---ing student?? Hell no-
-
Evan furrowed his brows, frowning. “Do you not wanna talk about it?”
-
"Yeah, not really-" Connor muttered, chuckling awkwardly as he looked down at the ground.
-
“Oh, alright,” Evan nodded, wringing his fingers together. “Could you play some music?”
-
"Sure, yeah," Connor replied, picking up his phone. "What do you want to listen to?"
