“But- what if they do,” Evan whispered, his hands shaking.

“If anyone thinks that, f--- them,” Connor spoke softly, resting his hand on Evan’s. “If you truly believe it, that’s all that matters, okay? And no one’s gonna deny you any help, hun-“

“Okay- sorry,” Evan whispered, nodding. He shivered slightly, curling close to Connor.

“Don’t be sorry, you didn’t do anything wrong, I promise,” Connor spoke softly, holding Evan close.

Evan hummed, nodding in response.

Connor hummed softly as he rubbed Evan’s back, kissing his head.

Evan yawned quietly, leaning into Connor. “Sorry- I’m awake, I promise-“

“Hey, if you need sleep, go right on ahead and try to get some,” Connor said, chuckling softly.

“No- no, I’m fine,” Evan mumbled, getting cut off mid-sentence by a yawn. He lifted his head up to look at Connor with a small smile. “I’d rather spend time with you.”

Connor smiled, pressing a kiss on Evan’s lips. “Alright then- But if you do get tired, the uh, the hammock is a great place to nap, especially with your boyfriend~”

“Oh, if you do say so yourself,” Evan said with a giggle.

“I do say so~” Connor said with a chuckle, holding Evan close.

“That’s gay,” Evan said with a tired chuckle, resting his head on Connor’s shoulder.

“Mm, that’s because I am gay- Bi? Eh, I dunno, I’m some sort of gay,” Connor said, chuckling softly.

“Pfft- some sort of gay-“ Evan said with a quiet laugh, shaking his head. “That’s wild.”
