“What, it’s true~” Connor teased, chuckling softly as he held Evan close.
-
Evan whined quietly, leaning onto Connor.
-
Connor chuckled softly and held Evan close, rubbing his back ashe kissed the top of his head. “As for the stuff with your mom having an eating disorder and you picking up her habits, that- that makes some sense. And those things are definitely hard to unlearn.”
-
“Yeah,” Evan whispered. “She’s getting better, though- my Dad noticed and got really scared and sent her to a specialist.”
-
“Maybe you should talk to your dad about something similar for you- See a therapist or doctor and talk about it with them?” Connor suggested, running a hand through Evan’s hair.
-
“Mm- maybe- I- I dunno, that kinda scares me,” Evan whispered, leaning into Connor’s touch.
-
“Well, guess what?” Connor said, looking down at Evan.
-
“What?” Evan whispered, glancing up nervously at Connor.
-
“You’ve got me, now, and I’m here to help you,” Connor replied, kissing Evan’s forehead.
-
Evan smiled sadly, admiring Connor for a moment. “Thanks. That kinda helps.”
-
“I definitely think you should talk to your parents about like, talking to a doctor about it- Or you could talk to my mom,” Connor said, hugging Evan close.
-
“I- I don’t want to- use your mom or something so soon after meeting her,” Evan said softly, looking down again.
-
“I doubt she would mind, but I get that,” Connor replied, nodding. He hugged Evan closer, rubbing his back.
-
“I just-“ Evan paused, sighing. “What if I’m making this all up? What if I’m doing it for attention?”
-
“Baby, no one would think that- eating disorders are a serious thing, no one’s gonna call you an- an attention seeker or anything,” Connor spoke, running a hand through Evan’s hair.
