Connor let go, humming softly to the music.
-
“Oh, is the music still playing?” Evan said, sitting up a little and trying to ignore the wave of dizziness.
-
“I put a different one in,” Connor replied, running a hand through his hair.
-
“How long was I asleep?” Evan asked, frowning a little.
-
“Not too long, just like, a little less than an hour,” Connor replied, looking over at Evan.
-
“Alright,” Evan nodded, shuddering. “Did you fall asleep?”
-
“Nah, I wasn’t really tired,” Connor replied, rubbing Evan’s back for a moment.
-
“Hm, fair,” Evan said, laying back down next to Connor. “The worst part is I’m still f---in’ exhausted, but I know I’d have another nightmare.”
-
“Is there anything I can do to help?” Connor asked softly, rollong onto his side to face Evan.
-
“No, I’ll survive,” Evan sighed, rubbing his face. “Thanks, though.”
-
Connor nodded, kissing Evan’s cheek. “Let me know if you need anything, okay?”
-
“Can you just hold me a bit more?” Evan whispered hesitantly.
-
Connor smiled and nodded, wrapping his arms around Evan and holding him close.
-
Evan sighed quietly, wrapping his arms around Connor again. “You- I don’t know how to word this,” Evan paused, blowing out a breath. “You just- you make me feel so- like, secure? I dunno how I would say it.”
-
Connor blushed, a small sad smile on his face. "No, I think I get what you mean," he said, rubbing Evan's back. "I'm- f---, I'm really glad to hear," he murmured, burying his face in the brunette's hair.
