"I'm not risking it," Clay spoke softly, gently squeezing George's hand.

George started to dissociate, his mind still on the fact that hes not safe.

"I won't let anything happen to you, George," Clay whispered softly, rubbing George's hand with his thumb.

George nodded slowly, trying to ground himself with Clay’s hand. “Well,” The king said, noticing George’s discomfort. “I’m glad to hear you’re doing better, George-“

"Yeah, I'm really glad you're okay- I mean, you're like, the only good person Clay's ever dated, so-" "Shut up, Sam," Clay said, rolling his eyes.

George chuckled dryly, forcing his eyes up. “Thanks, Sam.” His dad stood, gesturing for Sam to follow as he headed to the door.

"What, it's true- all the other girls he's dated only wanted him for his money. Plus, they were all super b----y and one called me uptight! Uptight!! I am not uptight," Sam grumbled, furrowing her brows. "Okay, we get it, you didn't like them," Clay said, chuckling softly. "Now, goodbye, Sam-" "Whatever," she said, following her father. "Bye, George~"

Clay looked over and exhaled softly, letting go of George's hand and wrapping his arms around the brunette. "You're gonna be okay, George, I promise- I'm not gonna let anything happen to you."

George hummed quietly, leaning into Clay’s arms.

Clay held George close, gently kissing his head. "I love you so much, honey~" He whispered softly.

“I’m going to take a nap,” George whispered, curling his shaky hands into fists.
