“You okay?” George after a quiet moment, glancing up at his boyfriend. “That looks like a pretty good sandwich.”

"Y-Yeah, I'm- I'm fine," Clay replied with a quiet chuckle, picking up the sandwich. He stared at it for a moment before forcing it to his mouth, taking a bite.

“You sure? If you wanna talk, I’ll listen,” George said softly. “Please don’t treat me like I’m fragile-“

"I'm not- I mean, I'm not trying to, I just-" Clay exhaled softly, staring at the sandwich. "I just, forgot to get rid of the uhm, the razor and s-stuff-" He murmured shakily, his hands beginning to tremble.

“Oh, honey,” George frowned, gently rubbing Clay’s side with his thumb. “Do you want me to get rid of it?”

Clay thought for a moment before nodding, trying to keep himself from tearing up.

“Alright- I’ll be right back- where do you want me to put it?” George asked, standing and heading towards the bathroom.

"Just- away, I-I don't care," Clay murmured, exhaling shakily. "I just don't w-wanna see it..."

“Alright,” George whispered, taking the bag in the bathroom and tying it up. “Where do you usually put your trash? Does someone take it?”

"N-No, I- I usually take it out myself," Clay replied, letting out another shaky breath.

“Do you have to take it like, out, out? Or where do you put it?” George asked.

"I usually t-take it out back, but you- you can just leave it by t-the door," Clay said, glancing over at George. "I-I'll take it out later."

“Okay,” George said, heading to the door and leaving the bag sitting outside the door. “I’m sorry you had to see that, honey,” he said softly, heading back to the couch.

"I-It's okay," Clay murmured, exhaling softly. "My own fault, anyways," he muttered, staring at the plate in his shaky hands.

“But still, you regret it,” George whispered, kissing Clay’s head before sitting down next to him.
