George avoided looking into the kitchen, wringing his hands together as he spun around, checking for lurking figures.

Clay came back out a few minutes later, holding a plate with a sandwich. "I'm back~"

“Thank God,” George said with a shaky smile, stepping over to him.

"Lucky they were making sandwiches, huh~?" Clay said, chuckling softly as he offered George his free hand.

“Yeah, pretty lucky,” George said with a chuckle, taking Clay’s hand.

”You can have them, they’re honestly a hassle,” George said, chuckling awkwardly and looking at the floor.

"Seriously?? Yess~" Clay said with a chuckle, smiling happily.

”We can get ‘em next time we’re in my room,” George said with a chuckle.

"Awesome~" Clay replied with a smile, nodding.

“Good,” George said with a small smile as they approached Clay’s room, opening the door and heading inside.

Clay hummed as he walked into the room, going over to the couch and sitting down. He set his plate in his lap and grabbed the tv remote, turning it on. "You wanna pick something?" He asked, watching George.

“Nah, I don’t really care,” George whispered, curling close to Clay and fearfully glancing around the room. “Could- could you check your closet and bathroom, though?”

Clay smiled a little and nodded, kissing George's cheek before standing back up. He walked over to his closet and opening it, finding nothing but clothes. He hummed softly and walked over to the bathroom, opening the door. He froze and stared at the floor, seeing the discarded razor and old bloodied bandages. He exhaled shakily, quickly checking the bathroom and avoiding looking at the razor before shutting the door. "All- all clear," he said, walking back over to the couch.

“Thank you,” George said quietly, hugging onto Clay again and resting his head on his shoulder.

"You're welcome," Clay replied with a nervous smile, holding George close. He grabbed his plate and stared at the sandwich on it for a moment, exhaling shakily.
