“Yes, please,” Georgie spoke softly, nodding.

Casimir sat up and picked them up bridal style, walking through the field back to the village. He nuzzled his nose against Georgie’s. ‘I love you, okay?’

Georgie smiled a tiny bit, leaning into Casimir’s touch. “I love you, too,” he spoke softly, resting his head against his boyfriend’s chest.

Casimir smiled gently, carrying him into town. He didn’t care at this point if anyone saw them. He nudged Georgie’s door open and set them down.

Georgie moved to their feet, the two of them being greeted by three younger kids. “Georgie, did you hear-“ “Yes, I know,” he spoke softly as one of the younger boys flung himself into his arms. “I’m sorry, Georgie,” the eldest of the three kids spoke, looking down at the ground, “I know how close you and Dad were.” Georgie smiled a little, rubbing the girl’s arm. “It’s okay. He’s in a better place now,” they spoke softly, exhaling shakily.

Casimir kept one hand on Georgie’s back, rubbing it with his thumb gently. He kissed the side of their head.

Georgie stood up, picking up the little boy in their arms. “Cas, these are my other little siblings: Adriana, Mia-Kate, and Will,” he spoke, pointing to the eldest girl, the second eldest girl, and gestured to the young boy in his arms.

Casimir waved slightly, smiling. ‘Hey,’ he said quietly.

“Hi,” the two girls spoke in unison, small smiles on their faces. Rupert came in, seeing Georgie and Casimir had come back. “Mother said she’s on her way back, I told her what happened,” he spoke shakily, his hands visibly shaking. Adriana moved over and hugged onto his waist, resting her head on his stomach. “Okay,” Georgie spoke quietly, nodding. “Uhm, how about you take Will up to his room,” she added, walking over and handing her younger brother over to Rupert. He nodded and headed off to the room, his sisters following suit. Georgie exhaled shakily, rubbing their face with their hands. “I need to lay down. Again…”

‘Let’s go do that, then,’ Casimir said softly, kissing their cheek.

Georgie nodded and headed off to their room, entering it and quickly crawling into bed. He tugged the covers over his head, curling up into a ball.

Casimir slipped under the covered behind them and held them close, pressing his chest against their back and kissing the back of their head.

Georgie relaxed a little in Casimir’s arms, rubbing their red-from-crying eyes with their hands. He exhaled softly, resting his hands on top of Casimir’s, staring at the wall as they disassociated.

Casimir kissed the back of their neck, holding them close. ‘I love you.’

“I love you, too,” Georgie mumbled softly, leaning back into Casimir’s arms.
