“No, I just need hugs,” Jared murmured, burying his face in Liam’s chest.

“Alright, well I can do that,” Liam whispered, grabbing the blanket on his bed and pulling it over them. He tightly wrapped his arms around Jared, humming softly.

Jared curled closer to Liam, tangling their legs together under the blanket.

Liam smiled gently, rubbing Jared’s back and scratching it a little. “Do you wanna talk?”

“Kinda, yeah,” Jared mumbled, shivering under Liam’s touch.

“Well, Im all ears,” Liam whispered, holding Jared close.

“I- I never thought she’d- she’d actually kick me out,” Jared murmured, exhaling shakily. He tilted his head to the side, staring at the wall. “I- I just don’t get it-“

“I know, it’s unfair,” Liam whispered sadly, rubbing Jared’s back.

“I’m her son, and- she slapped m-me, and kicked me o-out of the house-“ Jared let out a shaky breath, burying his face in Liam’s chest.

“You didn’t deserve that,” Liam whispered, continuing to let him talk.

Jared let out a shaky sob, curling closer to Liam.

“Hun, you know that was wrong, right?” Liam whispered, rubbing Jared’s back.

“Y-Yeah, but-“ Jared exhaled shakily, lifting his head again. “I- I deserve it, don’t I?” He whispered, a scared and hurt look on his face.

(He whispered, an expression mixed with guilt, fear and hurt on his face.**)

Liam frowned, his heart breaking. “Jare, no, no, not at all- no one deserves this. And especially you- you’re such a good person.”
