Connor laughed, kissing the back of Evan’s hand. “Now you can’t bully me for my thoughts, mister~”

“No, I think it still will,” Evan said with a laugh, squeezing Connor’s hand.

“Meanie,” Connor jokingly whined, chuckling softly as he admired his boyfriend for a moment. “I’m definitely still worried about them. Like, it’s only been like, almost a week and I’m already letting kids get hurt-“ He paused, exhaling softly. “Am I just, not a good counselor?”

“Babe, these are freshman boys we’re talking about, okay?” Evan said with a quiet chuckle. “They’re gonna do stupid s---. No matter what you say.”

“I know, I know,” Connor said with a gentle laugh, nodding a little. “You know me, always worrying,” he added quietly, leaning back against the seat.

“Yeah,” Evan said softly. “It just means you care a lot, though. Right?”

Connor nodded, a small smile on his face. “I just need to stop overthinking,” he murmured softly, exhaling.

“Yeah, you really do, babe,” Evan said with a quiet chuckle. “lIs there anything I could do?”

Connor shrugged, gently squeezing Evan’s hand. “I dunno,” he said with a sigh, running his free hand through his hair.

“Well, if there is, just let me know, okay?” Evan said softly, pulling into the ChickfilA drive-thru.

Connor nodded, a small smile on his face. “Ooh, can I get some fries as well?”

“Of course you can,” Evan said with a smile. “Do you want a cone or a milkshake?”

“Mm, milkshake, please~” Connor replied, smiling at Evan.

“What kind?” Evan asked with a chuckle, admiring the stupidity of his boyfriend for a moment.
