“No- hun, I just- I have to get this done,” Nick said quietly, sitting up and moving to stand.

Karl frowned, nodding. "Okay. Please don't overwork yourself, okay baby?" He spoke gently, watching Nick with an anxious expression on his face.

“Okay,” Nick said softly, standing out of bed and waking over to his desk, sitting down again.

Karl watched him sit down with a worried expression on his face, laying back down on the bed. He sighed softly and rolled onto his side, grabbing his phone and checking his messages.

(should we ts to the end of nicks finals and he comes home n they have a self-care night or should we have karl force Nick come and watch a movie and go to bed that night? h

also, since it's around christmas time, WE NEED TO DO CUTE LIL CHRISTMAS STUFF
like tree decorating, and gingerbread house making- OMG and it should snow where they live, i hc it lmaoo) -

The natural light had left their bedroom with the sun, and now all the lights were on. Nick was still at his desk, having gotten through a good chunk of what he needed to study. He hadn’t noticed the time, quarter past nine, and even if he did he wouldn’t of paid it any mind. -
Karl poked his head into their bedroom, watching Nick for a moment. "Hey, baby," he said softly, walking in. "How's uh- how's your studying going?"

“Good,” Nick said softly, glancing over to Karl. “So you need something?”

"Just wanted to check on you," Karl replied with a small smile, moving over to his side and rubbing his back. "Do you want to maybe take a break? You've been working hard, and you deserve one, hun~"

Nick blew out a breath. “I- I dunno, Karl, I still have a lot to do-“

"Please? Y'know, if you don't take breaks while studying, you don't end up actually retaining the information," Karl pointed out, continuing to rub Nick's back. "C'mon, just a quick one, hun~"

Nick sighed, leaning back in his chair and looking up at Karl. “What would we do?”
