‘Fair enough. Me neither,’ Quinn admitted.

Elliot pursed his lips as he stared at his hands awkwardly, rubbing them together. "So uh, you- you sure seem to like droids," he spoke after a moment, looking over to Quinn.

Quinn nodded. ‘Yeah, I do.’

"Is there a reason why, or just pure coincidence?" Elliot asked, folding his hands in his lap.

‘Well, I guess my father owning Apus influenced it a bit. But I love mechanics and things, and so I work at a repair shop. I guess I fixed one, and I wanted to learn how to make and design them, so here we are,’ Quinn shrugged.

"That's- actually, that's pretty cool," Elliot replied with a low chuckle, nodding.

Quinn smiled. ‘I guess,’ he said, crossing his ankles.

"I think inventing would be pretty cool, but I- I mean, I've never had much of a chance to explore any form of hobby," Elliot commented, leaning back in his chair and hugging his uninjured leg to his chest.

‘Why not?’ Quinn asked, looking at him curiously.

"The Huntress-" He paused, stopping himself. "No, never mind. I don't want to talk about it..."

Quinn looked at him, cocking his head. ‘How long were you working for her?’ he asked softly. ‘You don’t have to answer if you don’t want to. My brother worked for the Huntress for a bit as well.’

"Your brother worked for the Huntress??" Elliot asked, a bewildered look on his face. "Seriously?? I've never heard of anyone in your family working for her- to be honest, I didn't know you had a brother."

Quinn nodded. ‘Not many people do. He was cast out of our family by my father when he left to work for her.’

"Damn, that's rough," Elliot mumbled, rubbing the back of his neck. "And uh, about the first part. I- Well, she found me after the Aftershock, and I was nine then, so..." His voice trailed off for a moment as he thought, counting the numbers. "About ten years, I think."

‘A nine-year-old, working for the Huntress?’ Quinn frowned. ‘Why’s she so angry about you leaving. My brother was able to quit. I haven’t seen him in a while.’
