Elliot stood up and grabbed the pair of pants, slipping them on. He grabbed the towel and began drying his hair with it, opening the door and limping out of the bathroom.
-
Quinn looked up, watching him limp. He blushed, noticing him in his clothes. ‘O-Oh, er..’ he mumbled, rubbing the back of his neck. ‘Feeling better now?’
-
"A bit, at least I can walk without almost falling over," Elliot replied with a chuckle, continuing to rub the towel over his wet hair to dry it. "A nice hot shower was just the trick, I guess."
-
Quinn chuckled. ‘Fair enough. I’m glad,’ he said, propping his feet up on the table.
-
Elliot walked over to a chair by the couch, sitting down awkwardly. He glanced around, tapping his hands against his knees as he took a deep breath in and out. He stared at the floor awkwardly, not sure what to say.
-
Quinn fidgeted with his hands. ‘So, tell me more about you. What’s you family like, since you pretty much already know about mine.’
-
"I don't really have a family," Elliot replied, looking over at Quinn with an unreadable expression. He exhaled through his nose and leaned back in his chair, crossing his ankles. "My mom died in the Aftershock, and I never knew my dad. The closest thing I had to a family was..." His voice trailed off, shaking. He covered his mouth with one hand, staring down at his lap.
-
Quinn looked at him in sympathy. ‘You okay?’ he asked softly.
-
Elliot nodded, biting his lip. "Yeah, I just- I don't like to talk about it," he muttered, moving his hand from his mouth and rubbing his face.
-
Quinn smiled softly. He reached out and gently put a hand on his shoulder. ‘I get that. Me neither, to he honest.’
-
Elliot tensed up under his touch for a moment before relaxing, a small smile appearing on his face. "Anyways, I uh, I pretty much grew up with the Huntress. Which could explain why I turned out the way I am," he muttered with a chuckle, fidgeting with the cuff of his gloves.
-
Quinn’s smiled faltered a little. ‘The way you are? You seem pretty good to me,’ he said with a soft chuckle. He’s not “pretty good”, he’s perfect.
-
Elliot let out a tart laugh, crossing his arms over his chest. "If you really knew me, you wouldn't say that," he mumbled, staring at the floor. He sighed and looked up, watching Quinn for a moment with a small smile. "Anyways, I'd rather move on to something else," he added bluntly, an awkward look on his face.
-
Quinn’s brows furrowed slightly, but he nodded. ‘Alright. What else do you wish to discuss?’ he asked, blushing lightly as he removed he hand off Elliot’s shoulder.
-
Elliot paused for a moment as he thought before sighing, chuckling awkwardly. "Honestly, I don't have any ideas."
