Elliot laid back on the couch, his face red. He's kinda cute- He thought before stopping himself, his eyes wide. What the hell am I thinking?! You're on the run from the Huntress and he's- He's the star of Northland, for f---'s sake! He's famous! He exhaled as he sat up and peered into the kitchen, watching Quinn for a moment. He flopped back down on the couch, covering his face. f---... I don't know what to think right now...
-
Quinn hummed a cheerful tune as he started making breakfast. He wasn’t sure what Elliot liked so he made bacon and eggs, which admittedly would’ve been easier with two arms, but he managed.
He eventually plated it up and walked back into the lounge room, holding one and balancing the other on his arm. -
Elliot looked over to see the Quinn walking in, going to stand. "Here, let me get that for you-" He winced as he put weight on his hurt leg, stabilizing himself so he wouldn't fall.
-
‘No, I’ll be fine,’ Quinn said, carefully setting the plate in his hand on the coffee table, then the other. ‘Sit back down before you hurt yourself, please.’
-
Elliot nodded as his face turned pink, sitting back down. "Sorry about your arm. Is- is there somewhere you can fix it?" He asked, looking over at Quinn. His eyes directed his thoughts to the food on the place, hunger consuming him. "Damn, that looks good," he said with a short chuckle, grabbing a fork and taking a bite.
-
Quinn chuckled, sitting down on the armchair. ‘I work at a droid repair shop, so I should be able to fix it there. But that’s the least of my worries right now.’
-
Elliot nodded as he took another bite of his food, a small smile on his face. "Haven't had a home-cooked meal in ages," he murmured, glancing up at the TV, still blasting his story on repeat. He rolled his eyes, trying to ignore it.
-
Quinn looked at him. He changed the channel again. ‘How long have you been on the run?’ he asked between bites.
-
"Since, last night," Elliot replied, glancing over at Quinn. "I uh, I escaped from the Underside- the Huntress' domain."
-
Quinn nodded thoughtfully. ‘Interesting. And she’s been looking for you since?’
-
"Yeah," Elliot answered with a nod, staring at the fork in his hand. "I don't think she knows where I am yet, but it's only a matter of time." He exhaled, getting another bite of eggs and eating it. "So, what's your story, 'star of northland'? Why did you go and f--- a droid?" He asked, smirking.
-
Quinn rolled his eyes. ‘Out of everything you could be curious about, that’s your first question?’ he mutters, huffing. ‘That’s none of your business.’
-
"Yeah, that's my first question," Elliot teased, crossing his arms across his chest. "Plus, I told you about what happened with me, so I see no reason for me not to ask you."
-
Quinn took another bite out of his eggs and bacon. ‘Well, for your information, I didn’t f--- the droid. It was one of my creations and it took weeks to finish, so I kissed it on the forehead, if droids even have foreheads. Big difference.’
-
"That's not what the press thinks~" Elliot said in a singing voice, nudging his arm with his elbow. "Everyone think's it's 'human falls in love with a droid! society is falling apart as we speak!!', which is so f---ing stupid. For one thing, the world's not gonna fall apart from a human and a droid kissing and falling in love, let alone just a kiss." He rolled his eyes, hugging his uninjured leg to his chest. "The media, and society, paint droids out to be nothing more than servants, created to obey their 'owners' beck and call. And so many of them do treat their droids like that." He chuckled, resting his chin on his knee. "Makes sense droids are abandoning the Northlands and escaping to the Underside."
