“Hmm…. Wicked, maybe? Or Mean Girls.” She didn’t like his reaction to the phone.
-
"Wicked is a good show, I'd like to see it live someday," Elliot replied with a small smile, folding his hands in his lap. "Did you know there's going to be a Wicked movie?" He added, excitement seeping into his voice. "It looks like it'll be pretty good, even though it has Ariana as Glinda the Good Witch. I mean, I have nothing against Ariana, so I'm sure she'll do great. The new Mean Girls movie, though? Have you seen it? God, it looks awful, they tried to modernize it so much." He paused, realizing how much he was rambling. He turned red, looking away. "Sorry, I uhm, I just really like musicals." His voice quieted as he leaned back in his chair, trying to act nonchalant.
-
Havyn enjoyed seeing how much of a fanboy he was. “All good, me top. Ive heard! I saw the Mean Girls movie, i didn’t think it was too bad though. I mean, I’m also a pretty big Bebe Wood fan, and she plays Gretchen, so…”
-
"Mm, fair," Elliot said with a chuckle, relaxing a bit. "I just think it's a little weird considering how much they 'modernized' it. Like- Oh my God, and do not get me started on some of the music."
-
Havyn chuckled. “Fair enough, I can respect that opinion. At least all the actors seemed to enjoy working there, though.” She may have been a little bit of a fangirl over some of the actors.
-
"Yeah. I love the girl who plays Janis in the movie, though," Elliot said with a smile. "She's the voice actor for Moana, I believe. I can't pronounce her name, but she has a great voice."
-
“Oh yeah! She’s awesome!” Havyn agreed, voice rising out of excitement.
-
"Literally! Such a great actress!" Elliot commented, smiling a little brighter. He blushed red and chuckled, running a hand through his hair. "Did you know that they're making another Moana? Or, is it they're making a live action version??"
-
“She’s amazing!” Havyn gushed. “I’ve heard. I think it’ll be fine, I’m just weirded out by the idea of The Rock having hair in a movie…”
-
Elliot laughed, leaning back in his seat. "Yeah, that may be a bit traumatizing." The classroom door opened and Eloise walked in, sighing loudly with relief. "Dear God, was that nerve wrecking," they said, walking back over and sitting down in their chair. "Thank the Lord it's over..." "You think you did good?" Elliot asked, looking over at Eloise, who nodded. "Yeah, I think so."
-
Havyn chuckled. “On a scale of one to ten, how worried should we be when we audition?” She asked in a joking tone.
-
"For yourself? Eh, I'd say a solid six, maybe seven," Elliot said with a chuckle. "For me, having been in theatre all throughout high school and the director knowing my skills? Always about an eight or a nine." He exhaled, crossing his ankles. "They know my skills and expect great things of me, which is nice, and not really pressuring? I've grown confident in my talents and trust myself to do well."
-
Havyn nodded thoughtfully. “Fair enough.” She grinned.
-
"It's always still nerve wrecking, though," he added, rubbing his palms on his pants. "Considering how much they expect from me..." "Hey, you've done great all throughout high school in your auditions, and in middle school!" Eloise chimed in, wrapping an arm around their friend. "So, you'll do great this time, alright??"
-
“You’ll do great.” Havyn smiled. “Promise.”
