“Cool.” Havyn smiled, reading more of the script.
-
"It was the first- no, second show I had been in," Eloise said, opening her script and scanning it. "What about you? What was the first show you were in??"
-
Havyn thought for a while. “Matilda.” She admit with a chuckle. She was sick of that play now- way too many times of hearing the songs played over and over by her obsessed little niece.
-
"Oh my God, same!" Eloise exclaimed, flapping their hands at their sides. "I was, what's her name- Whatever, I forget. The girl who was Matilda's friend who had the pet newt or whatever. That's who I played in my production." "I actually saw the show, it was pretty good," Elliot remarked, gently nudging Eloise's knee with his own. "Of course it was, because I was in it," they joked, smirking.
-
“Ohhhh, yeah! I know who you’re talking about.” Havyn chuckled at how she couldn’t remember her name either. “Nice!”
-
"Yeah, it was such a fun show- I wish I could do it again, but I think I'm a bit too old for it," Eloise giggled, crossing their legs in the chair. "Definitely too old," Elliot said, shaking his head. "No one asked you, shut up!" Eloise exclaimed, whacking the back of his head with their book. "JESUS- that f---ing hurts, don't you dare do that again," he glared at his friend, flipping them off. "How sweet of you," they said, returning the gesture. "So, what made you wanna continue theatre? Do you wanna do it as a career?" They paused, chuckling. "Sorry if I'm being nosy."
-
Havyn chuckled at the two of them before shrugging. “Nah, just for fun. I want to make art my career.” She crossed her legs.
-
"Ooh, fun-" "Wait a damn minute- If you want to make art a career, why the hell were you at the theatre auditions then??" Elliot demanded, turning to face Eloise. "Were you there just for kicks? To f--- me over for a career of a lifetime??" "Eli, relax-" Elliot stood up, his script dropping from his lap. "No, f--- this. I can't- I just-" He groaned, walking over to the teacher, talking to them for a moment and then leaving the class in anger. "s---. I- I'm sorry, he- he hardly ever gets like this," Eloise said to Havyn, an apologetic look on their face.
-
Havyn rolled her eyes at the audacity of Elliot. “It’s fine. I hardly ruined his life. Besides, I bet half the kids in that auditions aren’t having acing and theater as an actual job. It’s just fun, that’s all.”
-
"Well, Eli did get scouted at The Little Mermaid production last year," Eloise said awkwardly, uncrossing their legs. "It's the reason he was asked to audition at that special thing before school started, because of that scout. It was gonna be his big break, until the- y'know." They chuckled, scratching the back of their neck. "I don't think it's your fault, of course! I just- I feel like you, and Elliot, may be making things worse by holding grudges."
-
“Oh.” Havyn thought about that for a moment. She supposed she was the brat for that- but he sabotaged her audition too! “Maybe…. Ugh, maybe you’re right.” She mumbled. She didn’t like admitting that- she had a stubborn side.
-
"Of course I am, it's why I'm going to be a therapist when I graduate college," Eloise said with a smirk, crossing their arms. "But seriously, I think that you two, both of you, need to apologize to each other and make. Up." They bent over and grabbed Elliot's script, setting it on his chair.
-
Havyn chuckled before nodding. “I will. Maybe.”
-
"Good, because I think you two would get along," Eloise said with a kind smile, crossing one leg over the other. "You two are very similar, considering how stubborn you both are." They giggled, returning to look back at their script. "So, which part do you hope to get?"
-
Havyn raised an eyebrow. “Really? I dunno… maybe the Wardrobe, since all the girls are going to audition for Belle, so there’s no chance I’d get her.”
