Havyn narrowed her eyes. What was he playing at, being all apologetic over it? They pretty much just said to his friend that he hated her- ok, she knew she was being a tad but over dramatic by saying that, but still! “Well…. Thanks.” She said slowly, trying to read his face and body language to check how genuine he was.
-
"Really, I- I'm just sorry you felt the need to f--- with my audition because yours was s---," he added under his breath, crossing his arms over his chest.
-
Havyn glared. ”You f---ed with mine first. Sorry I returned the favor.” She snapped. She couldn’t believe she actually thought he was being nice for a second. So naive.
-
"Not my fault you can't act worth s---," Elliot retorted calmly, shooting a glare at Havyn. "I never asked to share a scene with someone, much less somebody with no talent."
-
Havyn huffed. “At least I know how to keep my voice down when I’m talking trash about people to my friends.” She snapped.
-
"Not my fault you were eavesdropping," Elliot pointed out, facing Havyn head on. "I worked my ass off to get that audition, okay? I worked my damn hardest, and now I may never get the chance to re-audition ever again. Now, my whole life plans are f---ing ruined. And you know who's to blame for it? You. You You ruined my life." He was now leaning forwards, his face mere inches from hers. "I'm not letting you f--- up my life again, you understand me? So, you will stay out of my way, or else." He leaned back, exhaling. "So, how long have you been into theatre?" He asked, as if their argument didn't just happen.
-
Havyn’s breathing quickened slightly, eyes widening at how close he was to her. She was too stunned to argue for a moment. “You got into college, didn’t you? What does it matter how hard you worked. I worked hard too! Besides, you ruined my audition first! Besides, if I ruined your life, clearly it wasn’t that hard in the first place.” She had a look on her face that showed that if he wasn’t careful, he’d end up on her hit list. “And I’ve been into theater since I was 7, but at that time all I did was school plays.”
-
"Huh," Elliot remarked, chuckling. "Same for me. I started 'acting' when I was seven, got a part in a local theatre group and just, kept on acting." He exhaled, folding his hands together and resting them in his lap. "And, for your information- not that it's any of your business, I haven't gotten a letter saying I was accepted, so who f---ing knows if my life is ruined or not yet."
-
“You haven’t even gotten a rejection letter and you’re blaming me for ruining your life?!” Havyn snapped.
-
"I ask that we keep the volumes down, students," the teacher warned with a gentle smile before returning to their work. "Yeah, keep it dow, Havyn," Elliot retorted with a smirk, crossing his arms, "and yes, I am in fact, blaming you."
-
That made Havyn’s blood boil. “You’re talking louder than me!” She said in a furious whisper. “You’re such a stuck up brat.”
-
"And you're a life-ruining piece of s---," Elliot said in a low voice, glaring at Havyn. "Just stay out of my way, and don't ruin my shot for the lead."
-
Havyn shrunk slightly, staring up at him. “You don’t need my help to do that.”
-
Elliot rolled his eyes, turning away from Havyn when the teacher started talking. "Alright, so since we have auditions today and tomorrow, we're going to spend these next few classes looking over our scripts for the show," the teacher said with a smile, pulling out a box containing the scripts. "So, I'm sure y'all are wondering what the show is, so I figured I'd finally tell y'all-" "IS IT MEAN GIRLS?" Eloise exclaimed, jumping up from their seat. A bunch of students laughed, throwing out their choices of what they hoped the show would be. "The show," the teacher started again, getting the students to quiet down, "is Beauty and the Beast!" The students cheered at the show choice, a few booing and jeering that their choice wasn't picked. Well, at least it's a show I know well. I would have preferred this anyways.
-
Havyn couldn’t help but chuckle. Eloise seemed funny- a goofball and way too loud for her taste, but still pretty cool. “I don’t think they have a family appropriate school production of Mean Girls done before.” She pointed out. At least Beauty and the Beast had a couple good female roles…
