Havyn was also brain dead at this point. “Damn puzzle.” She chuckled, putting her stuff away.
-
Elliot smiled at his complaining friends, standing and pulling his bag over his shoulders. "It can't have been that draining, can it?" "Clearly you're just too big-brain for us, Eli," Eloise chuckled, lifting their head and grabbing their things.
-
“I agree with Eloise.” Havyn laughed. “It was very draining, Mister Genius.”
-
Elliot chuckled, putting his hands up. "I'm no genius by any standards, trust me," he said, his voice quieting near the end of his sentence. "Oh don't be so modest," Eloise teased, smirking and nudging him with their elbow. "You're incredibly smart and you know, Mr. Know-It-All." They grabbed Havyn's hand, turning and walking off, "and now, we must leave, for we are too small-brain to be in the presence of such a high IQ big-brain." Elliot sighed and pulled out his phone, following the two as they walked out of the classroom.
-
Havyn chuckled. “Clearly. I mean, look at him.” She said with a wave towards Elliot. “Mr Genius is simply too smart for us.”
-
Elliot smirked, chuckling softly. "Yeah, we're just not special enough to be graced with his presence, I suppose," Eloise teased, giggling as they walked. Elliot glanced up from his phone, rolling his eyes at his friend. "Shut up, ya weirdos," he said, returning to his phone with an anxious look on his face. Eloise noticed but didn't speak, unsure if asking would trigger a nervous breakdown from their friend.
-
Havyn giggled before looking at Elliot, noticing his expression. She frowned.
-
"So, I've got to get to my class," Eloise replied, letting go of Havyn's hand, gesturing to the classroom they stopped outside. "Gotta get big brain to be able to even breathe the same air as Mr. Smarty Pants." Elliot rolled his eyes at the comment, a small smile appearing on his face. He exhaled as he glanced down at his phone, frowning at it before continuing to his next class.
-
Havyn chuckled before looking at Elliot again. “You ok?”
-
"Yeah, just- waiting for an email," Elliot replied, glancing over at Havyn as they walked. "I finally got that letter, but all it said was that that I'd hear from them by email in a few weeks with 'more details'." He sighed as he stuffed his phone in his pocket, tapping his thumb against his fingers in a pattern while he walked.
-
Havyn nodded. “Ok.” She said sympathetically.
-
"I'm just so sick of waiting," Elliot muttered, crossing his arms over his chest. "Makes me anxious-" He stopped mid-sentence, exhaling. "Sorry, I just don't know when to shut up, do I?" He chuckled awkwardly, turning down the hall.
-
Havyn followed him to make sure he was ok, and since they had the same class. “I get it.” She said quietly.
-
They arrived at the class and Elliot walked in, sitting at the desk close by the door that he sat at the day before. He exhaled as he opened his bag, grabbing his journal.
-
Havyn sat next to him, pulling out her notebook.
