The teacher started talking after a while, starting the class. Elliot opened his journal, writing down the homework assignments on the board.
(i'm sorry i'm so braindead :')
and i'm multitasking with homework haha) -
(All good! We can timeskip again if you want)
Havyn looked at Elliot, wanting to make sure he was ok. -
(yeah, maybe toooo theatre? go thru their auditions??)
Elliot arrived in the theatre room alongside Eloise, finding a seat and sitting down. "God, I'm so nervous," Eloise muttered, clinging to Elliot's arm. "Why are you nervous? I'm the one who's having the audition," Elliot teased, chuckling quietly as he watched his friend. "I'm nervous for you, Eli!" Eloise pouted, frowning at their friend. -
Havyn chuckled. “Same.” She said with a smile.
-
"Both of you are going to do great, I just know it!" Eloise said with a smile, grabbing Havyn's hand and squeezing it. "Alright, students, everyone take a seat," the teacher, clapping their hands together. "We're gonna start calling the rest of the students for auditions and see who can can get done in the time we have today," they added before calling a few students over to go to the auditorium.
-
Havyn smiled. “Thanks.” She whispered before turning to the teacher and listening intently for her name. She didn’t hear it.
-
Elliot exhaled as he pulled out his phone, standing and walking off to a less crowded part of the classroom. "And there he goes," Eloise said, giggling softly. "He always gets like this, nervous, feeling like he's going to forget the lyrics to his music or the lines to his monologue."
-
Havyn watched Elliot as he walked off. “I mean, we’ve all felt that before, right?”
-
"Yeah, but he seems to get it bad," Eloise said with a short sigh, running a hand through their hair. "He get so anxious beforehand, overthinking every little part." They watched Elliot for a moment who seemed to be lip singing along with something playing through his earbuds, anxiously wringing his hands together. "I wish I knew some way to calm his nerves. I mean, he turns out fine during and after, just before is always hard for him. Especially with the whole college admissions thing," they added, turning back to Havyn. "Which, again! Totally not your fault!"
-
Havyn looked down at her shoes after that last part. Eloise could keep saying that, but it felt like it was her fault, so did it really matter if it was or wasn’t. “Makes sense.” She mumbled,
-
"Anyways- so uh, what're you doing for your audition? I don't think I asked," Elodie said, meeting Havyn's eyes. "I did, what was it called, Popular? Yeah, Popular from Wicked," she nodded, chuckling. "Gosh, one of my dream roles is Glinda the Good Witch in Wicked, for sure. Or Dawn in Waitress. Ooh, or Janis in Mean Girls!" They giggled, running a hand through their hair. "Yeah, I have a lot of dream roles."
-
Havyn chuckled. “Don’t blame you. I’m doing Waving Through a Window since it’s a classic.”
-
"Ooh, nice," Elodie said with a smile. "I almost chose Requiem for my song, but I don't personally love singing it. Not my vibe," they added, chuckling. They snuck a glance at Elliot to check on him, seeing him pacing in circles as he seemingly rehearsed his monologue. Maybe I should check up on him- they thought before their thoughts were drawn to the teacher walking back in, calling for students. "Guess you're up, Havyn," Elodie said, hearing their friend's name called.
-
“Makes sense.” Havyn chuckled before hearing her name. “Yup, see you!” She flashed a thumbs up and a smile at Elliot to try and make him feel better before leaving to follow the teacher.
-
"Break a leg, girl!" Elodie said with a smile, giving her a thumbs up. Elliot looked over when he heard Havyn's name called, smiling gently. "Break a leg," he said, knowing she couldn't hear him. He exhaled and turned back to the paper in his hand, reading over the monologue once more. He gripped the paper in his hand, trying to stop the shaking.
