Nick frowned at that, looking back at his waffle and then back at Clay. “Why would you have done that? Not gone on a date…? I’m sorry Im so stupid, I didn’t mean for this to happen,” Tears welled up in the ravenette eyes. Clint furrowed his brows, sending a concerned look to Clay.

imsoclueless Senior"Hey, I was joking," Clay replied, rubbing Nick's back. "I would gladly give up something important like that to be here with you, making sure you're okay. Anyways, I told him about the situation and he was more than okay with pushing it back. It's not your fault, okay?"

Nick watched Clay for a second before nodding and looking away, rubbing his face. “Okay, yeah.” Clint stayed quiet, finishing the second waffle and handing it to Clay.

Karl hummed softly as he walked out of the kennel room, bringing out a box of dog food, medications, leash and toys for a young man with a lab puppy in his arms. "Here is all the supplies you'll need! Just give us a call whenever the food or medicine run low and we can restock it as soon as possible~" He said with a smile. The guy nodded and thanked Karl, grabbing the box and heading out of the building. -

Nick walked in the front door, heading towards the front desk to check in. -

Karl looked up from his laptop, letting out an audible gasp. "Nick, hi!" He said with a bright smile, trying not to show how much he wanted to burst into tears of joy. -

Nick looked up from the laptop, nodding and pulling his hands away. “Yeah, I’m good,” He said with a small smile. He felt terrible doing this to Karl, but he couldn’t put him through all of his own problems. He didn’t deserve it. The easiest way to do that, in Nicks opinion, was to act like they were never dating in the first place.

Nick smiled a little nervously, his hands starting to shake as he basically ignored Karl. He quickly hid them under the desk, under his legs. “Yeah, me too.” All he wanted to do was hug the brunette and kiss him a million times, but he stopped himself because he thought he didn’t deserve it.
