Mahina smiled weakly. 'Alright. But that's a terrible reason.'
'It's not the whole reason. I'm letting your parents reveal that to you when the time comes.'
'But that's not fair!' -
"It's not my secre to share!" Selene argued.

'It should be!'

Selene sighed. "I'm sorry, but you'll have to ask your parents about it."

Mahina huffed.

Selene didn't say anything, not wanting Mahina to become even more upset.

Mahina walked back into her room.

Ernie heard her walk in. "Am I allowed to get up yet?" He asked quietly.

'No,' Mahina whispered. She crawled down next to him.

Ernest looked at her. "You alright?" He whispered.

'I guess.'

Ernie wasn't satisfied by that answer. He gave her a slightly concerned look.

Mahina snuggled up to him, since there wasn't much room under the bed.

Ernest didn't pull away, grabbing her hand.
