Ernie rolled his eyes. He thought he could hear the door to the house open, and his eyes widened.

Mahina heard it too. 'Get under my bed,' she hissed, and stood up and walked to the door.

Ernest nodded quickly, hiding under the bed faster than you could say 'witch'.

Mahina poked her head out. It was Selene.

Selene looked exhausted, like talking to Mahina's parents took a year or two out of her life. She gave a small smile when she saw her though.

Mahina walked in, shutting the door behind her. 'You OK?'

Selene nodded. "Fine." She sighed. "Do you mind explaining why they told me there are wanted posters of you in the village?"

Mahina's eyes widened. She blushed slightly, thinking about how Naida had tried to kiss Ernest the night before. It almost made her puke up her omelets. 'Saved a witch,' she mumbled.

Selene raised an eyebrow. She'd be lying if she said she wasn't impressed... But she also knew she should be upset with Mahina for getting caught. "How?"

'Turned invisible and set her free. She was accused of being a witch.'

Selene gave a slow nod. "Well... Make sure to be more careful next time. And no magic without your staff."

Mahina raised an eyebrow. 'No scolding?'

"For saving a witch?" Selene gave a so-so hand gesture. "Be much, much more careful if you ever do it again... But I can't really blame you too much I suppose. No going back to that village though.

Mahina smiled. 'Alright.'
