Chester nodded, gently rubbing Jayden’s back, seemingly unaffected by that amount. At least? Hm, I’ll give you 120 then. Does that sound ok?’

Jayd's eyes widened. "That's so much land." He mumbled, wiping his eyes, which were now rimmed red from crying. "How are you not bothered by that?"

Chester smiled softly, holding him close and tightly. ‘Because I love you. And I’m not about to let a bunch of s---ty men and women in their 60s make you cry.’ He wiped Jayden’s tears off his cheeks. ‘Remember when I said I love you more than anything, Jayden? I really do. I’m not scared of us breaking up. And besides, it won’t matter soon. That is, if you want to get, y’know, married. It’s up to you.’

Jayden's mouth was hanging open before turning into a weak smile. Was he seriously asking?... "You're too amazing." He whispered before thinking about it. "Chester, I'd love to... But we need to give it some time, ok? So we can really get on the same page on everything. And so hopefully the papers calm down a little by then." He meant the last sentence as a joke. He snuggled into Chester. "I'd love to, ok? Just... Give it some time."

Chester laughed softly, holding him close. ‘I know, love. I’ll wait as long as it takes,’ he said, nuzzling into him. ‘I’m always here for you. Now, why don’t you go grab the paperwork for the land and I’ll get started on my studying? Does that sound good?’

Jayden smiled. "That's a relief." He murmured, standing up. "Yeah, just give me a second." He went in the bathroom to check his face in the mirror, realizing how red his eyelids were. "Ugh, I look like a mess!" He complained, fixing his hair and splashing water on his face.

Chester followed, wrapping his arms around his waist from behind. ‘A beautiful mess,’ he murmured.

Chester kissed his neck, pulling him close. ‘You do.’

Jayd chuckled, kissing Chester on the lips quickly. "Agree to disagree. Now, I love you holding me and hugging me from behind, and we should do this more often, but can I go get the paper now?"

Chester sighed dramatically, letting go of him. ‘Fine,’ he murmured, kissing his nose. ‘But be quick.’

"I'll be as quick as I can." Jayden smiled before walking off, opening the door out of his room. "Love you!" He said before leaving, looking around for Caden.

‘Love you too!’ Chester called back. He grabbed the history book pile from his room and lugged it back to Jayden’s, then nestled himself in his boyfriend’s bed and read, pulling in his glasses.

Jayden was looking for Caden when he saw one of the board members wandering the halls. Maybe she knew?
"Excuse me, Sariah? Do you know where Caden is, by any chance?" -
‘He’ll be in his bedroom,’ Sariah said. Or the board room.’
