"How am I supposed to know?" Caden shrugged. "It's too small for me to read!"
"You wrote it! Tell me or I tell the public about this whole scheme." Jayd knew he was playing a dangerous game, but he didn't care. He wanted answers. -
Caden rolled his eyes. ‘Nobody likes a liar, Jayden. I know you wouldn’t dare.’

Jayden glared. "What is it?! What would happen to him if he signed it?" He snapped. "Just tell me!"

Caden smirked. ‘What if I don’t tell you?’ -
Jayden glared. "Why the hell won't you tell me?!""
(well, either way it's really late, so how about I go get sleep and figure something out in the morning? I mean, either way I'm going to bed so like...) -
(Lmao fair enough, I needa have dinner anyway. Cya!)
Caden smirked, leaning back in his chair. ‘It’s entertaining’ -
(Ok I got an idea for it now lol)
Jayden clenched his fists. What a brat! "Well then, does anyone else know?" -

‘I’m not telling you, Celeste,’ Caden said, leaning back in his chair. -
(Bro isn't it super late for you??)
"Fine then. I'll ask each one of them myself. I don't need you." Jayd snapped before turning on his heel and walking out of the door. -
(… late or early? I’ve had at least three hours, I’ll be fine 👍)
Caden rolled his eyes but let him go. -
(Fair enough lol. GET SLEEP)
Jayden walked out, looking around for one of the board members, specifically one that was actually nice, or one that couldn't keep their mouth shut. -
(LATER I HAVE TO WAKE UP AT 9)
Chester kept reading. He snuggled deeper into Jayden’s blankets, hoping his boyfriend would be back soon. -

Jayd eventually found one of the board members that wasn't outright terrible. "Hey, Willa?" Jayden asked, stopping her. "Sorry to bother you, but is there any way you know what this fine print says?"
Willa's eyebrows furrowed. "Yeah..." -

Chester pulled the blankets over his head, trying to stop his overthinking. -
"Could you tell me? Please?"
Willa nodded. "Look, if he signs it-which, unless your handwriting improved over the month, he did- then we're allowed to take however many acres of land he says from whatever place we want, as long as it's on the edge and we don't make his country look like it has a hole in the middle. That way, he can't give us bad land."
Jayden frowned. "Ok." It didn't sound overly terrible. So then why was Caden so adamant on not telling him?
