The servant sounded very confused. "Of course sir." She said. "But, shouldn't we keep some guards stationed there in case anything happens over there?"
Jayden leaned against the wall, trying to listen to what the girl on the other end of the phone was saying. -
Chester sighed and closed his eyes. He would’ve wanted to, but then he would be breaking the contract. At least everything important was in the centre of the kingdom or away from Jayden’s.
‘No, make sure nobody is there my sundown. Store the equipment in the basement and station guards at every entrance, to the castle and the basement. Give the soldiers the spare servant quarters, and if there’s not enough give them the throne room space.’ -
The girl on the phone agreed. "Sounds good. I'll send them right away, sire. Anything else?"

‘No, no, nothing else. Make sure it’s done right away. Thank you,’ Chester said, hanging up.

Jayden was staring at the ground, arms crossed, holding his sleeves tightly.

Chester sat next to him and gently moved him forward so he could sit behind him. He wrapped his arms around his waist and rested his head on his shoulder. ‘You okay, love?’

Jayd leaned into him, closing his eyes. "I'm fine." He mumbled.

Chester kissed the top of his head, holding him close. ‘You sure?’

"I'm sure. It's just been a hell of a morning."

‘I agree,’ Chester said, kissing his neck. ‘Do you wanna go back to your room and try to relax till lunch?’

Jayden gave a nod. "Yes, please." He murmured.

Chester smiled and helped him stand up, then picked him up bridal-style. ‘Let’s go, then.’

Jayd held onto him tightly, smiling.

Chester kissed his forehead and started walking to Jayden’s room.

Jayden blushed, letting him carry him on the way to his room. "I love you."
