Chester nodded. ‘Alright,’ he said. He wanted to say sorry, but how? He didn’t expect Jayden to forgive him, and he’d scared him before. He’d sound like such a hypocrite.

Jayden looked up at him, feeling bad for making him so upset.

‘Jayden?’ Chester mumbled.

"Yeah?" Jayd asked quietly.

‘Are you… scared? Of me?’

Jayden didn't answer for a bit, avoiding his gaze.

Chester looked away. ‘So you are?’

Jayd tried to think of a way to word it better. He hated hurting Chester's feelings. "Well-I just- but..." He gave up. "I'm sorry."

Chester shook his head. ‘No, I am,’ he said quietly. He let go of Jayden’s hand. ‘I’ll go pack up. Neo can show me to the guest room.’

Jayden tried to grab his hand again. He still felt bad. "I... I can show you." He offered quietly. He wanted to make sure Chester was ok with his room.

Chester let him. ‘A-Alright..’

Jayd sighed. "Do you want to do it now, or later?"

‘Let’s do it now,’ Chester said, looking down at their hands. He tried not to show how horrible he felt. ‘Then I’ll be out of your way sooner.’

Jayd tried not to apologize again. Chester didn't have to try and hide how he felt. He knew. "I-ok." He said quietly.
