Jayden nodded as she left before sitting back down and picking at his sweater.
(Dammit, I have to go, bye!) -
(Dammit, cya!)
Maeve and Oliver appeared in front of Jayden.
‘Why am I here?’ Oliver complained. ‘Don’t tell me the sad emo boy is sick again. We better be taking care of Jayden this time.’
Maeve rolled her eyes. ‘Shut up.’ -
Jayd looked up at him. "Hey." He gave a small smile. "Maeve, what's he doing here?"
"Yeah, what he said!" -
Maeve huffed. ‘If he really doesn’t remember, Oliver will know.’
‘Know what?’
‘If he’s lying!’
‘And how am I supposed to know that?!’ -
"Because you're a doctor." Maeve answered. "Doctors know these kind of things."
"I'm a doctor, not a polygraph test!" Oliver argued. -
Maeve rolled her eyes. ‘Chester’ll double your pay for the next week.’
‘Deal. So what happened, anyway?’ -
"He got really angry and attacked my brother, threatened me, and now he claims he doesn't remember it." Jayden summed up. He figured he didn't need to know all of it, just the basics.

Oliver blinked. He glanced at Maeve, then back at Jayden. ‘We leave you alone for 3 hours, and this is what happens?!’ he exclaimed, rubbing his temples. ‘God, I’m so sorry. I’ll have a talk to him.’

Jayd nodded. "Thank you."

Oliver walked into Chester’s room. ‘Is this where he is?’

Jayden nodded.

Oliver walked inside and sat on Chester’s bed, looking down at him. Chester covered his head with his blanket. ‘If you’ve come to yell at me, go away.’

Oliver sat down. "I'm not yelling." He answered.
(DAMMIT I gtg) -
(Lmao alr, cya!)
Chester looked up at him, eyes red from crying. ‘What do you want?’
Oliver grabbed his briefcase, which he’d definitely been holding when he appeared. ‘Just to run a few tests. Is that okay with you?’
Chester curled up. ‘Okay.’ -
Jayden tried to listen as they both talked, not wanting to be too nosy, but also wanting to know what was happening, and if Chester was ok.
