"Chester, you yelled at me. A lot. And you threatened us. I can't just automatically forgive you for that, but I also can't hate you that easily."
-
Chester looked at him, the heartbreak evident on his face. He looked away. He could barely recall what had happened. The only thing going through his mind was the look on Jayden’s face when he’d shouted at him.
‘Do you want me to leave?’ -
Jayden felt worse when he saw his face. He looked so sad. "I-I-well... No..." But it's probably for the best if you do... He felt awful even thinking it.
-
Chester sighed. He stood up. ‘I should go,’ he mumbled, tucking the clock pieces into his pocket. ‘I-I’ll arrange a carriage for morning.’
-
Jayd stood up. "No wait..." He didn't want him to go. "At-at least let me find someone who can fix that watch before you go. It's the least I can do."
-
‘For what, Jayden? I don’t deserve any of your kindness,’ Chester said, looking down. ‘I don’t want you to feel guilty for any of this. It’s my fault.’
-
"But I want to help. Please, just let me."
-
Chester sighed, but nodded. ‘Fine,’ he mumbled.
-
"Thank you." Jayden said, sighing of relief.
-
Chester fiddled with his hands, avoiding his gaze again.
-
Jayd grabbed a piece of paper and some ink from his bedroom desk and starting writing a letter to one of the businesses in shop. The girl running it was known for being able to fix just about anything.
-
Chester stood awkwardly behind him, not wanting to make him uncomfortable by getting too close.
-
Jayden looked behind him, seeing Chester. "Hey." He said softly.
-
Chester glanced at him, rubbing his arm. ‘Hi.’
(Gonna be off and on randomly lol) -
(Ok!)
Jayd offered him his non dominant hand, so he could still write.
