Chester chuckled softly. ‘You sure?’

“Yes. Besides, if they approve of you it won’t be because of your hair.”

‘I suppose. But it’s not like the redness will help.’ They got to the kitchen.

Jayden kissed his nose. “It’ll be fine, ok?” The doors to the kitchen were already wide open, so he just walked in.

Chester took a deep breath, stuffing his shaking hands into his pockets before following.

Jayd noticed, stopping him. “Hey, don’t worry about it so much. I love you no matter what happens with them, ok?” He wanted to make sure his boyfriend wasn’t so anxious before meeting his family.

Chester smiled weakly and nodded. ‘Y-Yeah, I know…’

“Why are you so worried?” Jayden murmured.

‘I don’t know,’ Chester mumbled, looking down.

Jayd cupped Chesters chin in his hands and moved his head gently so he could meet him in the eyes. “It’s ok.” He said before giving him a short kiss. His family was watching the two of them by now.

Chester smiled and nodded. ‘Y-Yeah… everything’s fine…’ He looked up, noticing his family looking at them.

Jayden smiled back before noticing where he was looking. He turned around. “Ready to meet them?” He asked softly.

Chester nodded, grabbing his hand. ‘Yeah.’

Jayd walked him to his family, sitting down. “Hey mom, dad, Astrid.” He took a deep breath. “This is Chester. He’s…. Well, you’ve already read the news, but he’s my boyfriend.”

Chester sat next to him. He wasn’t sure what to do, so he just waved awkwardly. ‘Hi.’
