Chester sighed. ‘I know, he just..’ He took a deep breath. ‘He called me a PR stunt, Jayden!’

Jayden frowned. “I know, I know, I’m sorry.” He kissed his cheek. “Just… don’t let him get under your skin, ok? Because once he does, it’s really, really hard to stop letting everything he says get to you.”

Chester smiled weakly. ‘Yeah, okay,’ he sighed, looking at Astrid, who looked incredibly smug. ‘Are you sure I can’t insult him? Just a little bit?’

“Please, no.” Jayden said quietly. “Unless you manage to get him to shut up, which I doubt it, he’ll just make both of our lives hell.”

Chester clenched his jaw. ‘Fine. Just blink three times if you change your mind, ‘kay?’

Jayd sighed. “Yeah, ok.” He nodded. He paused a moment before kissing him on the nose.

Chester blushed lightly. That seemed to do wonders for his mood. He smiled softly and kissed his forehead.

Jayden smiled back, blushing as well. “Ready to go back and deal with Astrid?”

Chester nodded. ‘Yeah. I still have so much I want to say to him, though….’

“Save it for later, ok? It’s not worth strarting another fight.”

Chester nodded. ‘Yeah, alright.’

Jayden kissed his cheek again. “Come on, beautiful.”

Chester smiled, following him back to the table.

Astrid smirked. “Better now, after your little meeting?” He asked in mock sympathy.

‘Much better now, thanks,’ Chester said with a smile between mock and real. It was the same kind of smile he’d give to annoying relatives he wanted to infuriate. ‘I appreciate your concern.’
Chester turned to Jayden’s parents. ‘Mr and Mrs Celeste, right? I’ve heard great things about you.’
