Chester glanced at Jayden’s father. He wanted to make conversation, but the older man didn’t seem interested, so he kept his mouth shut. -
Jayden’s father glanced back at him. “What?”

Chester quickly looked down at his food. ‘Er, nothing.’

Mr. Celeste just raised an eyebrow. “Right.” He turned to his food. Jayden looked up at Chester.

Chester smiled down at Jayden.

“What was that about?” Jayden whispered, chuckling.

Chester shrugged, flushing lightly in embarrassment, and looked back down at his food.

Jayd laughed before kissing him on the cheek. “You nervous wreck.” He teased before turning back to his food.

Chester flushed harder. ‘I’m not nervous! Just… tired…’

Jayden gave a small nod. “Makes sense. Get some rest after this, you dork.”

‘And I’m not a dork!’

Jayden raised an eyebrow.

‘Just… ugh, eat your food, Celeste.’

Jayden chuckled, eating his food. “Happy?” He asked after taking a bite.

Chester rolled his eyes and continued eating.
