Jayden didn't have an answer for that. "I... I don't know." He mumbled, looking up at Chester apologetically.

Chester forced a soft smile. He was good at pretending to be fine. 'That's fine too. Listen to your head, 'kay? And check in with your heart on the way down to your gut.'

Jayd gave a weak smile back. "O-Okay." He said quietly.

Chester gently placed a hand on Jayden's cheek, desperately wanting to throw his arms around him or cuddle him to make everything better. But would Jayden appreciate that? He'd felt his boyfriend stiffen when he wrapped just one arm around him.
'What do you want me to do?' he said softly. 'I can leave, I can hug you, we can just... talk.' -
"Don't leave." Jayd murmured. "Please." A hug sounded great, but it also made half of his mind freeze in terror. He looked up at Chester.
(Dammit, gtg for a bit, I'll be back soon!) -

Chester smiled gently. 'Of course. I'll stay as long as you want,' he said. He lay down on the ground, holding one of Jayden's hands. He was willing to do whatever it took for Jayden to not be scared. -
"Thank you." Jayd said softly, giving a weak smile.

Chester nodded, smiling softly. He turned onto his back to look at him, then pulled his shirt back on.

Jayden held Chester's hand, not realizing how tight he was holding it.

Chester did notice. He massaged it softly. 'It's OK,' he said in a soothing voice.

Jayd realized what he was talking about, and loosened his grip. "Sorry."

'No, it's OK,' Chester said softly. 'Just relax. I've got you.'

Jayden nodded, just relaxing a teeny bit more.
Neo knocked on the door. "Found the newspapers!" -
Chester smiled softly. He let go of Jayden's hand and stood up to answer the door.

Jayd watched him as he left. "Are... Are we still planning on burning those newspapers?" He asked.
