"Good for you, I guess." Jayden shrugged.

Benji rolled his eyes. ‘C’mon, baby. You’d rather be with a man who doesn’t even love you?’

"No, that's why I'm with Chester, not you." Jayden said frankly. He felt a lot more comfortable speaking his mind when he had a gate protecting him.

A couple of guards walked out behind Jayden, waiting for either orders or violence.
‘All Chester will do is cheat on you. Yet again.’ -
"He won't. Besides, you didn't do any better."

‘Oh, shush, you know I treated you way better.’

"Clearly." Jayden ran a hand through his hair.

‘What did I ever do that wasn’t nice?’

"Yanked my hair whenever you thought I was being s---ty and treated me like a piece of jewelry." Jayden said frankly. "Any other fabulous reasons why you want to get back with me?"

‘Well, I did that because you WERE being s---ty! I only want what’s best for you, baby.’
