Jayden gave a small nod. "Great. You can leave now."

Benji glared. ‘I’m not leaving.

"And I'm not getting back with you, darling." Jayden gave a passive aggressive smile.

Benji mocked his smile, now even more angry. ‘Your family misses you, darling. They want you back in your own kingdom.’

"Tell my family that I'm an adult who wants to spend time with my boyfriend."

‘The boyfriend your kingdom thinks is a murderer?’

Jayden frowned. "Why does my kingdom think he's a murderer?" He didn't think anyone knew about that.

‘Astrid got a little… irritated when you left,’ Benji said with a sinister smile.

"What did he do?" Jayden tried to keep his composure, phrasing it more as a demand rather than a question.

‘Spread a couple rumours to a few… influential people. Let’s just say the media is going berserk. Half your kingdom thinks you’re next, and the other half thinks you’re both crazy.’

Half of Jaydens' mind was terrified for his boyfriends sake. The other half wanted to smack the smile off of Benjis face. He chose not to do either of those. "Well, it's a good thing it's nothing but a rumor." He lied.

‘Jayden, we both know it’s more than a rumour. Chester should be rotting in prison and you should be with me.’

Jayden glared. "I have to go." He snapped, turning to one of the guards. "Get him to leave."

The guard drew his sword and walked over to Benji. ‘If you don’t leave, sir, we’ll have to arrest you.’

Jayden left quickly, going back to the dining room.
